Home Profile helps homeowners create a structured profile of their home and generate a personalized maintenance calendar. This Privacy Policy explains what information Home Profile collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information You Provide

Home Profile may collect information you enter into the app, including property basics, construction details, heating and cooling information, hot water details, outdoor and exterior information, systems and appliance details, maintenance task activity, completed task logs, notification preferences, and app settings.

Information Stored on Your Device

Home Profile stores your home profile, generated maintenance tasks, completed task history, notification logs, onboarding status, and preferences on your device using local app storage. This information is used to provide the app experience, show upcoming tasks, track completed maintenance, and manage reminders.

AI Calendar Generation

When you generate a maintenance calendar, Home Profile sends relevant home profile details to a third-party AI service provider, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on configuration, so the app can create personalized maintenance tasks. The AI response is used to build your calendar and save tasks in the app.

Do not enter sensitive personal information that is not needed for home maintenance recommendations.

Remote Configuration and Diagnostics

Home Profile may use Firebase Remote Config to manage app settings such as AI model selection, generation limits, notification timing, and dashboard display limits. The app or platform services may also process basic technical information such as device type, app version, usage events, diagnostics, crash information, and performance data to help maintain and improve the app.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Home Profile may use your task calendar, notification preferences, quiet hours, and notification history to send seasonal maintenance reminders. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate app functionality, including third-party AI providers, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, for AI calendar generation, and Firebase services for remote configuration or related app operations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your consent.

Data Retention

Home Profile keeps app data for as long as needed to provide app functionality, unless you delete it or uninstall the app. Some service providers may retain data according to their own policies.

Your Choices

You can update information in the app, manage notification permissions through device settings, and delete app data by using device app settings or uninstalling the app. Because Home Profile does not use accounts and does not collect contact information that lets us identify a specific app user, we generally cannot locate or act on a request to access, correct, or delete data tied to an individual person. If you have a specific privacy question or request, you may still contact us and we will assist where possible.

Children's Privacy

Home Profile is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
